Neotropical Bluet, Enallagma novaehispaniae, in Maricopa Co.: New late flying date

Location: Tres Rios Wetlands

An unprecendented number of Neotropical Bluets was discovered in November 2016 at the Phoenix, AZ, Tres Rios Wetlands (see http://azdragonfly.org/news/unprecedented-number-neotropical-bluets-enal...). During a follow-up visit on 27 December 2016, four individuals (3 males and 1 female; see photos) were still present at this location. This observation provides a new late flying record for the species in Arizona.
