Cerulean Dancer, Argia anceps, in Pima Co.: New late flying date for Arizona

Location: Cienega Creek Natural Preserve
Until 2021 the Cerulean Dancer in Arizona had not been found after the end of November. Extending the known flying period of the species by approximately a week, eight males, three of which shown below, were observed on 5 December 2021 along Cienega Creek in the Cienega Creek Natural Preserve.
Addition: Further extending the flying period of this species, five individuals were documented at the same location on 22 December 2021 (OC # 1950741).
