Until now the Lavender Dancer in Arizona had not been observed before 4 March (2017; see http://azdragonfly.org/news/lavender-dancer-argia-hinei-maricopa-co-ariz...). On 28 January 2018, a male of this species (photo below) was found at the same location as in March 2017, which advances the known flying period of the dancer by approximately five weeks.
