Until now the latest calendar date for which we had records of the Cardinal Meadowhawk in Arizona was 25 November (http://azdragonfly.org/news/cardinal-meadowhawk-sympetrum-illotum-pinal-...). Extending the known flying period of the species in the state by almost a month, a male, shown below, was observed in Queen Valley, Pinal Co., on 23 December 2018.
