The Pin-tailed Pondhawk in Arizona is known from only a handful of records, including a previous record at the Phoenix Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area. A male of this species was discovered at this same location by Justin Jones on 29 October 2016, and relocated (photo below) the next day.
